Wildflower meadows require low fertility soil with good drainage. It is vital to get rid of preceding perennial weeds (either herbicide of soil replacement). We follow this with reduction of soil compaction and necessary soil improvements depending on survey.

Water regularly for the first 4–6 weeks, then mow to 5–7cm whenever it reaches 15–20cm in year one. From year two, cut once in late summer after flowering and remove all clippings. Keep soil low-fertility and hand-remove weeds.
