Designed Gardens

Focal points, unity and transition… flow, enclosure and openness (if that’s a word?) and balance.

These considerations when carefully considered, selected and applied where suited to meet the needs and wants of our clients in, are what make gardens special; more than just a landscape. A garden.

Following core principles of professional garden design serves to unlock the best from outdoor spaces and in doing so make best use of them, within a style and theme. Simplicity is key.

At times it can be a little disappointing when a patio or lawn dominates a space, whilst in balance I see a garden as a journey. Not an end point. A nice patio (or lawn) is often a great starting point. Providing the space you need to do what you household enjoys.

Exactly what we do with a garden very much depends on a clients needs and wants. We conduct a thorough site survey and consultation to figure out what is required and equally begin to discover what will work in the space and environment available.

Bringing the many variables and infinite possibilities together into a workable and achievable plan is arguably the hard part. We work with clients for as long as necessary before embarking on the creation phase.

A garden is an investment into happiness, wellbeing and quality of life. It is important to get it right, with the due care and attention of your contractor from day 1.
